Review of Life: Statement of Ideal & Rationale

How are you living the life of a disciple? What are the main areas of spiritual growth in the past year? 

Do you consciously live in the power of the Holy Spirit, open to his work in and through you? How do you live the charismatic spirituality?

 Is your heart set on God alone or is your heart divided? What other things occupy your heart? Your thoughts? Your time? 

Do you reject and actively seek to diminish all that would separate you from God in your life? Do you cherish and actively seek to integrate all that would bring you nearer to God?

 Examine how much of your time, energy, gifts, and talents are invested in efforts that promote God’s glory, spread the gospel, strengthen our communities, and support the mission of the Sword of the Spirit. 

What services are you doing in the community or in the Sword of the Spirit? How are they going? Are you growing in servanthood? 

Are you grateful for the call to live single for the Lord? Do you appreciate, honor, and encourage the other women God has called to live single for the Lord? 

Does your way of life encourage other women to consider the attractiveness of living single for the Lord?

Examine your purity of heart and sexual control. How are you doing in these areas? How are you dealing with sexual temptation? How much time do you spend with men? Is this area of your life in the light (shared with your pastoral leader and/or an appropriate sister)? 

How often do you review your commitments and way of life? What do you do to remind yourself of decisions that you make in light of your review? 

How frequently do you talk to your pastoral leader/spiritual director? About what areas of your life? Do you feel that your pastoral leader gives you adequate support?
